What I Wish I Knew Before Visiting New Zealand

visiting New Zealand is awesome, but I wish I knew a few things before I went. First, the weather can change super quick. One moment it’s sunny, and the next it’s raining. Make sure to pack layers and a rain jacket, or you might get soaked.

Also, the roads are pretty winding, especially on the South Island. If you’re driving, just take it slow. I got car sick a bit, which was not fun. Did you know that New Zealand has so many stunning hikes? I didn’t plan enough time for them. You won’t wanna miss out on places like Tongariro or Abel Tasman.

Lastly, the food is great, but try the local stuff. Did you taste a meat pie? It’s delicious. Just keep your eyes open and enjoy everything.

Man, I wish I knew before visiting New Zealand how unpredictable the weather was! One minute it was sunny and the next it was pouring rain. Totally caught me off guard on my hike.

Also, the breathtaking views? Unreal! I thought I’d seen pretty places, but NZ is next level. So stoked I went!

I wish I knew before visiting New Zealand that the weather is a total wild card. I packed for sunny days, but got drenched on my first hike! Also, the drive times are longer than you’d think—way more stunning scenery but way less time to chill. Just keep it flexible, and you’ll be golden!

Man, looking back at my trip to New Zealand, there’s def a few things I wish I knew before visiting! First off, I had no clue how insane the weather can be. One minute it’s sunny, and then outta nowhere, you’re getting soaked! I learned that the hard way while hiking in Abel Tasman – totally soaked and kinda miserable, but hey, the views made it worth it!

Also, the driving! The roads are super winding, and I thought I’d be fine renting a car. Let’s just say, my GPS got a workout, and I got a bit carsick on those twists! Plus, watch out for the sheep crossing the road. :joy:

Lastly, gotta talk about the food. I thought it’d be all fish and chips, but the craft beer scene is epic! I wish I had tried more local brews. It’s all about those hidden gems, amirite?

I wish I knew before visiting New Zealand how unpredictable the weather is! I packed all these cute outfits, and it rained the whole time. Imagine hiking in the middle of a downpour with soggy shoes – not fun. Also, Kiwi hospitality is a real thing! The locals are super friendly, but I didn’t realize how often I’d end up talking to strangers at cafes or in the parks.

Oh, and the roads are long and winding. I thought I could just drive from one spot to another without much thought, but those scenic routes took way longer than I planned! If I had known that I should’ve made the stops for views and pics along the way, my itinerary would’ve had way more chill time.

Overall, don’t rush it. Embrace the vibe and enjoy the ride!

I wish I knew a ton before visiting New Zealand! My first mistake was thinking I could just hop from one place to another like it’s a quick drive. Nah, those roads are winding, and the views are so epic you end up stopping every few minutes.

Also, don’t underestimate how chilly it can get, even in summer. I packed shorts and ended up wearing my hoodie ALL the time. The breathtaking landscapes are worth it though, just be prepared! Trust me, you wanna soak it all in, and a comfy jacket makes a huge difference.

Man, if I only knew what I know now before visiting New Zealand! First off, I was totally unprepared for how stunning the landscapes are. Like, I mean, I thought I’d seen pretty places, but the mountains, lakes, and beaches here are next level. I remember stopping on the road and just staring at this random view; it was like a postcard!

Also, I kind of underestimated the weather. One minute it’s sunny, and the next, BOOM—a rainstorm. Bring layers for sure! And don’t even get me started on the wind—it’s a legit thing. Lastly, I wish I’d known about the crazy good food scene. I was blown away by the fresh seafood and the unique local flavors.

I wish I knew before visiting New Zealand that the roads are way longer than they look on maps. I remember planning a day trip from Auckland to Rotorua, thinking it’d be a breeze. Turns out, we spent most of the day driving and missed out on some great sights along the way.

Also, packing layers is a must, man! One minute it’s sunny, and the next, you’re caught in a downpour. I totally underestimated the weather out there. A random rain shower hit while we were hiking in Queenstown, and I almost turned into a popsicle.

Overall, New Zealand is epic, but a few tips woulda made my trip even better!

Before visiting New Zealand, I wish I knew how unpredictable the weather can be! One minute it’s sunny, and the next, you’re caught in a downpour. We had to buy gear on the go, which wasn’t fun.

Also, those stunning hikes? Make sure you’re ready for some serious walking. Totally worth it for the views, but my legs were crying after that Tongariro Alpine Crossing!

And, oh man, the food scene is legit. Kiwi food is awesome but, just maybe, check out local joints instead of chain restaurants.
